Tumeric-Mustard Tri-Tip Steak | Gluten Free Recipe

Turmeric-Mustard Rub

gluten-free recipes1/4 Cup Turmeric
1/4 Cup Dry Mustard
1/8 Cup Ground Ginger
2 Tablespoon Dry Oregano
1/8 Cup Smoked Paprika
Salt and pepper to taste*
2 Tablespoon Cayenne
1- Mix everything, put in a jar, use as needed.

Tri-Tip Marinade

1 Tri-tip, trimmed
1 onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, smashed
Olive oil, enough to coat tri-tip

Apply the Turmeric-Mustard Rub to the trimmed tri-tip. Liberally apply olive oil to tri-tip. Picture the olive oil sealing in the rub mixture. Be sure to coat the sides as well. Next, take the onion and garlic, and place ½ the mixture on bottom of cooking dish, the other on top of the tri-tip.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ to 2 hours depending upon the size of the tri-tip. Slice thinly against the grain. Enjoy!

*I don’t like using dried garlic or onion so, I add fresh garlic and sliced onion when I marinate the meat or poultry along with the salt and fresh ground pepper.
